Washington DC Massage Parlors: Golf business goes to Capitol Hill

The group plans to fund its efforts through contributions from golf clubs and other companies with a financial interest in the sport, including hard and soft goods manufacturers and course equipment companies. The annual budget depends upon those contributions.
To help combat concerns about the sport’s environmental record, We Are Golf will also create a new set of measurable standards to improve water and energy conservation at the estimated 15,000 golf courses in the U.S.
The leaders in recreational golf have become more involved on Capitol Hill in recent years, particularly after golf courses in Louisiana were lumped in with massage parlors and liquor stores in being omitted from federal disaster aid after Hurricane Katrina. Shortly thereafter, a group of golf trade organizations commissioned a report that claims golf is a $76 billion industry with an economic impact of $195 billion a year.
