A police sting Friday netted a man and woman charged with running a brothel out of the Waldorf home where detectives found three adults and a 17-year-old girl working as prostitutes, court documents stated.

In Tippett’s bedroom, officers discovered the records of the women who worked at the home, their services and the finances for the prostitution business, police reported.
Interviews with Wyckoff and Batts indicated that the women working as prostitutes at the home would turn over some of their earnings to Morrison, who would give Tippett a kickback, according to court documents. They described Tippett as the “owner and operator” of the brothel, the papers showed.

The girl’s mother had come across a website that advertised her daughter as an escort and reported the finding to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, which contacted the sheriff’s office, Richardson said. County police worked with the FBI, Maryland State Police and the NCMEC to track down the teen and close the alleged prostitution business.
