Washington DC Strip Clubs: THE DANCE PARTY: Debut Album, ‘Touch’, Due Out September 28 On Hell Ya! Records

Written on July 26, 2010 – 5:25 pm | by ginger

A life consisting of sex, drugs and rock & roll is reality for THE DANCE PARTY–singer Mick Coogan, guitarist Kevin Bayly, bassist Dave Keuhl and drummer Jon Jester. Theyve already conquered their hometown (Washington, DC), held court for a six month long residency at one of Los Angeles premier strip clubs (Crazy Girls), and now its time to get friendly with the rest of the world with their debut album, TOUCH, which will be released September 28 on Hell Ya! Records through Warner Music Group’s Independent Label Group.

It seems like a common rock and roll cliché for bands to move to Hollywood, party with reckless abandon, and hang out at strip clubs. However, for THE DANCE PARTY, the L.A. party lifestyle seemed like the most obvious next step in their career. While in Hollywood writing and recording TOUCH, the band took over Crazy Girls, setting up shop with a naughty monthly residency involving energetic performances, excessive partying, and most importantly, onstage strippers.

Washington DC Adult Entertainment: Mad Men Recap: Who Is Don Draper?

Written on July 26, 2010 – 5:25 pm | by larrylibido

Betty is still being bitchy to Sally, not letting her make calls to dad. Creepy old dude takes them to Thanksgiving dinner only to find out what we’ve been routing for since day one, Sally is a truth teller and she isn’t putting up with any bull. She has been a pain in her parents side since birth and I know I can always count on her to call the bullshit rule or spit out her yams onto the table in a disgusting fashion.
Don does redeem himself by letting Betty live in his house for awhile. For the life of me, I can’t understand why someone would need a maid in a 1000 square foot apartment, but that’s Draper for you. The ladies man went on a date with some airhead, but opted for a call girl instead of the usual turkey dinner. In the end, Don went ape shit on some stick-in-the-mud clients when they couldn’t accept some revolutionizing idea about chicks being naked and he was sitting with the journalist once again.

Washington DC Adult Entertainment: Mad Men Premiere Recap: “Oh good, I got you when you’re vulnerable”

Written on July 26, 2010 – 5:25 pm | by larrylibido

He’s frustrated and angry. They all–even Peggy–blame him for the bad publicity, and in turn, the loss of the Jai Alai account. He loses his temper in front of Jantzen clients after giving them something they clearly were not going to like, effectively losing two accounts in one episode. Everyone in the office pities him. Roger invites him over for Thanksgiving with fear that he’ll have no place to go, and even feels the need to set him up on a date in fear he needs help with women too. He’s slightly awkward on the date and looks annoyed when he can’t get more than a kiss. He’s used to women falling into his arms with just a look, as well as a picture-perfect wife to go home to, and now he has neither. And suddenly–he likes to be slapped during sex, which pathetically he’s only getting from a prostitute. So now he’s punishing himself?

Washington DC Adult Entertainment: ‘Mad Men’ season premier review: Everything old is new

Written on July 26, 2010 – 5:25 pm | by larrylibido

There were some things that remain the same, thankfully. I mean Don is still an a-hole. Sterling and Cooper still act like Don ruins everything. Peggy is still a wimp. Little Sally Draper is still a lisping bad seed. And Betty Draper is still one of the worst mothers on television. So I guess there’s still hope for this new season of “Mad Men.”
The show has never been heavily plot driven, so there wasn’t a lot going on last night. Don had a date with a new woman (played aptly by “True Blood” Season 3’s Anna Camp). Betty clashed with her new husband’s family. Peggy’s love interest is still around, but “she’s wearing the pants” (my only period reference, I promise). Don pays a prostitute to slap him. Don screws up an interview and makes the company look bad. He throws some clients out. He calls for a new interview to make the company look better.

Washington DC Adult Entertainment: Mad Men: Season 4, Episode 1: “Public Relations”

Written on July 26, 2010 – 5:25 pm | by larrylibido

Only kidding—Matthew Weiner hasn’t taken a page from Dallas, but season four of Mad Men kicks off with a pretty radical shift in Don Draper’s character. We knew we were in for big changes at the end of the last season, which set us up for Betty and Don’s divorce and closed with the formation of the new Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce. But we didn’t know that Don—an almost superhumanly good salesman in the past—could be so tone-deaf when it comes to selling his new company. Has separating from Betty changed him, or is he just out of his comfort zone? Maybe a bit of each? He endures withering criticism from Cooper and Sterling. He’s not as suave as he used to be with women (or at least isn’t with the Betty-bot Sterling throws at him). And it appears he just paid a prostitute to slap him around—on Thanksgiving, no less. The scene is only slightly less shocking than it would be if James Bo …

Washington DC Adult Entertainment: Review: Mad Men – Public Relations

Written on July 26, 2010 – 5:25 pm | by larrylibido

Let’s talk about what’s also become pretty evident . . . Is Don Draper becoming a villain? Or better question: Is Dick Whitman (Draper’s real name and identity, in case you forgot) consciously creating Don Draper to be a bad man? In episode one of season four we see Don bite into Peggy Olsen (the fantastic Elizabeth Moss), alienate himself from his partners and Pete Campbell (Vincent Kartheiser), his ace salesman. On top of that, we see Don Draper getting fresh with a first date and getting slapped by a prostitute (and asking for “harder” slaps) within the span of ten minutes. Something’s changing with Don. And now that he needs to be a more visible leader, both officially and socially, it’ll be interesting to see just how long Dick Whitman’s alternate persona can last before the truth comes out publicly. What I love most is that the future of Don Draper is still very much up for grabs. He can st …

Washington DC Adult Entertainment: ‘Mad Men’: 4 Takes on the Season Premiere

Written on July 26, 2010 – 12:13 pm | by larrylibido

The episode, for me, revolves around this idea of covered up versus revealed. It pivots at a Thanksgiving dinner, when we finally get to see the newly married Betty. I expected her outfit to be triumphant, but instead she looks older and remarkably worn, covered in a matronly, silk long-sleeved dress. Meanwhile, Don celebrates by making love to a call girl. Though he lets her hit him (once, twice, thrice), he insists that she does not remove her brasserie (it is in a deep red color that harkens back to Betty’s dress.) Still stranger is that the call girl seems kinder than Betty that evening; Betty’s angelic floral nightgown in sharp contrast to her rage as snatches the phone out of Sally’s hand, quashing Sally’s chance to wish Don a Happy Thanksgiving.

Washington DC Strip Clubs: Fraudsters angle for piece of BP oil spill fund

Written on July 25, 2010 – 10:14 am | by ginger

Louisiana (Reuters) – Swindlers, scammers and even a few strippers are flocking to the Gulf Coast in search of a piece of the $20 billion BP Plc has set aside to compensate residents for spill-related losses.
Adjusters passing out emergency funds in Louisiana and other Gulf Coast states are on high alert for fraud even as they pay out legitimate claims following the April 20 oil rig explosion and spill that killed 11 workers and devastated the livelihoods of many fishermen, tourism workers and others.
The promise of a handout has attracted the unscrupulous, who have flocked to the Gulf in a bid to cash in.

Another applicant was overheard telling fellow claimants in the waiting room she was a stripper on New Orleans’ famed Bourbon Street, said Burnell Alessi, the office’s manager.

Washington DC Adult Entertainment: Despite promise no change in Washington

Written on July 24, 2010 – 6:37 pm | by larrylibido

People were encouraged when Barack Obama campaigned for president. The hope for change coming to Washington won that election. Unfortunately, time has shown that like the vast majority of political promises given to Main Street Americans that promise has proven shallow.
Ask President Obama a question and the answer will often begin with, “You have to understand how things work in Washington.” Main Street Americans do understand how things work in Washington.
Place any legal terminology on whatever thing the government is doing, the facts are the laws, rules and regulations enacted in Washington reflect the will of those who provide the most money to the members of Congress or their staff working on that subject. If it talks like a prostitute and it walks like a prostitute, it is a prostitute, deceptive and twisted explanations not withstanding.

Washington DC Adult Entertainment: Army sergeant pleads guilty to sex trafficking of child in Washington state

Written on July 24, 2010 – 6:37 pm | by larrylibido

TACOMA, WASH. — A 27-year-old Army sergeant from Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington state has pleaded guilty in federal court to sex trafficking of a child and attempted sex trafficking of a child.
Prosecutors say Sterling Hospedales set up one juvenile in a Lakewood apartment to work as a prostitute and had a second juvenile flown in from Wyoming to do the same.
Prosecutors agreed to seek a sentence of 10 to 15 years in prison, but he could get life.
The Army is dishonorably discharging him.
Lakewood police began the investigation in April 2009, when officers found out about a juvenile runaway from Seattle who was posting Craigslist ads that said she was a prostitute. The federal Innocence Lost Task Force then found that juvenile and a second girl.
