Washington DC Strip Clubs: The Hurt Locker Blows Up the Oscars

And by the time Sigourney Weaver wearing a bold red gown (didn’t she get the memo from the rest of the cast?) appeared onstage to present Best Art Direction to Avatar, there was a sense of relief that the 3D blockbuster was not slighted or ignored by the Academy. Tom Ford, fashion designer and director of A Single Man, and Sarah Jessica Parker, fashion muse, presented Best Costume to Sandy Powell for The Young Victoria. “I already have 2 of these,” said Powell. You can pass your third statuette to me, if you ask me.
The hosts appeared again to show us a spoof of Paranormal Activity. A slapstick act well done, including the watching-the-awards-show-from-backstage scene. In a conspicuous and vulgar move to boost ratings, young starlets and eye candies Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart appeared onstage looking radiant (and constipated), sending millions of Twilight fans gushing worldwide. They presented a very random Horror Movies montage, which included clips of Psycho, Rosemary Baby, The Exorcist and…Twilight. Seriously?! I always thought Twilight was a teenager stripper movie (oh the abs!). Somebody return me my $10 movie ticket money stat!

Washington DC Strip Clubs: Laugh along as Gateway Pundit makes stuff up about the Pentagon shooter

I heard he was a fan of Bruce Springsteen. Springsteen’s band includes a guitar player who is clearly shown in undercover videos operating a strip club, using and selling drugs and participating in organized crime activities.
I’m not sure if Breitbart has the unedited videos, but I think there is further investigation needed.

Washington DC Strip Clubs: Sex and the state-controlled banks

Written on March 9, 2010 – 1:01 am | by ginger

Now there is a case – which I put last July before it became fashionable to do so (see my note “Why men are to blame for the crunch”) – that the absence of women from the top of banks and financial companies meant that the atmosphere of board rooms during the bubble years was heavy with testosterone; and the consequence was a culture of dangerous risk-taking in the macho pursuit of short-term profits and bonuses.
You may dispute that. But even if you do, you surely can’t believe that entrepreneurial, wealth creating talents reside exclusively in the Y chromosome. So the dearth of women at the top must surely be depriving the UK of incremental income at a time when we need every penny we can squeeze to pay our way in the world.
But if companies will be forced to produce a report card on their efforts to make their senior management team look a bit more – in a gender sense – like the world rather than a dusty gentlemen’s club, it’s perfectly reasonable to examine Gordon Brown’s record.

Washington DC Adult Entertainment: For Iraqi Voters, a Dizzying Democracy

For Iraqi Voters, a Dizzying Democracy
Published: March 8, 2010
Baghdad
DURING the Iraqi parliamentary elections on Sunday, this city’s main thoroughfares presented an almost overwhelming visual mosaic of politics. From the Karada neighborhood in the south to the Adhamiya district in the north, from poor Sadr City to rich Mansour, posters for the capital province’s 1,300 candidates hung from almost every tree and lamppost. Billboards crowded medians and roundabouts, promising Change, Justice, Unity, Jobs, Security and more.
Iraq’s underlying political currents are even more cacophonous: among the candidates are soccer stars, TV news anchors, judges and prostitutes. Still, it is the images of Iraq’s big political players that dominate the city’s landscape, especially Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki and his two predecessors in that post, Ayad Allawi and Ibrahim al-Jaffari.

Washington DC Adult Entertainment: Gender Equality Is A Fundamental Right

Gender Equality Is A Fundamental Right
Published Monday, 8 March, 2010 – 15:00
On the occasion of International Women’s Day we would like to stress that, despite the EU’s recognition of gender equality as a fundamental right enshrined in the Treaty, a lack of political will and the prevalence of stereotypes mean that women still cannot participate in society on an equal footing with men and do not enjoy the same rights.
One particularly serious aspect of this is gender-based violence. According to statistics, a quarter of all women suffer physical abuse at some point in their lives. There has been no decrease in the scale of trafficking in women for prostitution, and acts of violence committed under the cloak of tradition and religion are much too common.
This is unacceptable. The situation requires a firm commitment at European and national level. Council of Europe conventions should be ratified, the large body of existing legislation should be implemented, indicators to assess the nature of gender-based violence should be created and specific prevention and protection programmes should be launched or revived.

Washington DC Adult Entertainment: Media Fraud – Just A Cup Of Coffee My Ass

Written on March 8, 2010 – 6:49 pm | by larrylibido

This latest example of mainstream media fraud comes from St. Louis, and features coverage of the so called “Coffee Party”.
The following clip is only 2 minutes long, so watch all of it, and then look at the images below to understand why this video is nothing short of media prostitution for their progressive cause.
This report attempts to paint a picture of a moderate, open minded movement in the process of conducting early, friendly gatherings. :25 – Brewing yes, but steamed? Well, not if they can help it. :45 – Leaders of this group say civility is their first priority :55 – We’re not looking to balance extremes. When we sit down for a cup of coffee, we’re not at each other’s throats. 1:37 – Organizers say they are just volunteers, and invite those with different opinions to join their effort to swallow their pride in the interest of progress. 1:44 – [Organizer] I don’t particularly think it is useful to sit at a table with only people who see things the way I do.

“The Room and the Chair”: Tearing apart the Washington press
A Pulitzer winner talks about the newspaper world she happily left behind — and what it’s doing wrong
At the start of Lorraine Adams’ new novel, “The Room and the Chair,” a mysterious F-16 fighter jet crashes into the Potomac River, causing an explosion heard by guests of the Watergate Hotel. Within minutes, the media has interpreted the event in half a dozen ways. And for the remainder of the book, high-ranking White House officials, with the press’s cooperation, will spin it until it blurs, implicating everyone from special operatives in Afghanistan to a teenage prostitute who witnessed the crash.
Adams’ follow-up to her 2005 novel, “Harbor,” reads like a season of “The Wire.” Only here the Washington Spectator (a thinly veiled Washington Post) has replaced the Baltimore Sun, and the streets of Hormuz, in the Persian Gulf, stand in for the projects. Written in a precise, lyrical voice, the book …

The Catholic debate on condoms

CALIFORNIA, United StatesI dont get as much pleasure using condoms, but I dont like playing Russian roulette either. says Jun who is into massage parlor sex.
Despite calls for her resignation by some Catholic Bishops, Philippine Health Secretary Esperanza Cabral says: Ill keep on distributing condoms until my term ends. She wants to prevent the rapid spread of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) which causes Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS), a deadly sexually transmitted disease (STD).
Lipa Archbishop Ramon Arguelles and other bishops take the position that condom distribution promotes promiscuity and that it leads to the increase of AIDS as the use of condoms is not an absolutely fail-safe protection, suggesting that abstinence is the best policy. The Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) even wants a total ban on condom advertisements and condom distribution announcements, clearly a violation of constitutionally protected free speech rights.

Washington DC Escorts: Kevin Frisch: Frustration without representation

Written on March 6, 2010 – 3:12 pm | by hookerlooker

Massa’s temporary successor will likely be decided in a special election called by Gov. David Paterson — if he can stick around long enough to formally declare the seat vacant and set a date. The governor has been mired in his own controversies, including an ugly and complicated domestic violence case involving a staffer, and Paterson’s apparently inappropriate solicitation of 2009 World Series tickets. (Can you believe that? Gubernatorial perks don’t include free tickets to the World Series when a home team plays? We really do need that People’s Constitutional Convention.)
Paterson himself, lest we forget, is among our unelected representatives — unelected to the office in which he’s serving, anyway. He succeeded former Gov. Eliot Spitzer — another purveyor of salty language — who stepped down after a prostitution scandal. Paterson has since confirmed what we’ve always suspected about lieutenant governors: They’re nice guys who are wonderful at supporting the governor but would be in over their heads if elevated to the top post.
